As promised, a new layout after my exams! I would consider this layout as one of the simplest I have made over the past 2 years. This design strays away from my usual cute and colourful style. There are no kawaii cartoon (or panda for that matter) characters nor bright rainbow colours. I find this change very refreshing but I’m not sure if others feel that way too. It made use of just pastel colours and the entire design revolves around the Sakura flower.
This layout is inspired by both the art and soundtrack of the animé Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan. I am totally in love with this animé especially the art – beautiful cherry blossoms featured in many scenes and not to mention learning a bit more about the history of Japan. I have been listening to the soundtrack for a few days before coming up with this design. In conclusion, love or hate?

Hello! I came across your site while googling for places to visit in Singapore. We’re heading off to Singapore for 2-3 days next January as an ending of our Philippines trip. After reading so many sites on Singapore shopping places – just want to know if Suntec City has more to offer than the shops around Orchard Rd?. And also what hotels would you recommend for a first timer?. We’re mostly there for SHOPPING of course
well it is only a short stay. Hope you can help out! Cheers!

Personally, I feel that Orchard has more shops. You can try Bugis Street too! It is popular among the locals with affordable and chic fashion clothings.
I am not familiar with hotels so I can’t help with that.

Wow, Dayna! You’ve outdone yourself again. I’m really digging the minimalist feel of this layout. It’s simple and yet very, very functional
and the sakura illustrations at the top are very well done indeed!
The hover effects on the buttons are very nice, too – I adore that warm, light glow behind the RSS and Twitter buttons.
I see that you’ve implemented some CSS3 attributes in your new theme, too. The text shadows have made reading a lot better, especially on the navigation buttons at the bottom of the comments section, as well as the links in the tag list.
Too awesome!

is it the first time you’ve not featured pandas? Anyhoo, great job, I’m loving the illustration, kinda reminds me of orisinal!

Yup, I think this is the first time I’m not featuring pandas.
Thank you! Glad you like it.

I think the layout is gorgeous! Simple, elegant, and beautiful. I love it, to be honest! The colors go together just perfectly, I can’t get over how much I do enjoy it.
Now I’m going to have to watch that anime. I’m always looking for a good anime to sit down and watch <3 It looks interesting! Maybe when I get some free time I'll look into it! (:

Welcome back, Dayna!
*hugs* Good to see you’re alive and well and still make gorgeous layouts! I do love the soft colours in this one. Lately I’ve been taking a liking to flowers too (as you can see from my current layout), so I love this layout and I think you’ve done a great job.
