Amour Chaleur

I got my results today and I pass all 4 subjects. =D I’ve a morning class today and I login to check at 7am in the morning. Surprising, the results were already posted at about 2am. I got a message from my friend at 2am telling me that she has passed all her papers. I only saw the message the next morning when I woke up. Anyway, I was freaking out when I keyed in my particulars to get the exams results. My first try was denied as I keyed in the wrong candidate number. :lame: Thank god the second attempt worked.

So here’s the results for my UOL academic year 2008/2009:

Subjects Score Degree class equivalent for
Management Accounting 70 First Class Honours
Corporate Finance 68 Upper Second Class Honours
Microeconomics 58 Lower Second Class Honours
Principals of Banking and Finance 50 Lower Second Class Honours

I’m really glad I pass my Banking and Finance, but wasn’t pleased with MA and CF. I could have worked just a little harder to get another 2 more marks and that would make so much difference. The Microeconomics paper was the easiest one I’ve sat for but I did not manage to do well for it. :frown: I shall work even harder this year. I’m aiming for at least 60 marks in all 4 papers I’m sitting for this year. I wish to graduate with at least an Upper Second Class Honours.

On a side note, there’s a John Little Sales for card members from 1st to 3rd September. Thus, mum and I decided to pop by to check out the sales.

Some of my twitter followers may have noticed that I’ve been away from 5 August to 13 August to Hong Kong and Macau. My flight got delayed yesterday due to bad weather but here I am. I’m home! Home sweet home. I miss the beautiful sun and fresh air. The air was quite bad there as compared to Singapore. I break out with lots of zits on day 1 of my trip. :( I’m on an intensive masking regimen now. Anyway, I’m just so glad to be home. I haven’t got the time to organise the 700 over photographs taken during the trip but I got the photos of my loots ready. :D I just took photographs of the smaller items. Hence on top of the ones below, I still got myself 3 pairs of new shoes, 2 dresses, 2 tops, 3 pairs of stockings/leggings. =D

I love sales!

I have been doing a lot of holiday shopping recently so I thought it’ll be a good idea to share some of my recent purchases. By the way, Singapore Watsons has launched a member’s card for fellow shoppers. I signed up yesterday, SGD 5 for lifetime membership. Although I would say the discounts ain’t fantastic but some of their monthly member prices looks pretty good. I do shop in Watsons occasionally so no harm getting the card for some of their good discounts. The points system is not impressive at all. We get 1 point for every $5 spend in the stores and 20 points is equivalent to $1 cash. It’s going to take a really long time to get that $1 cash redemption. :frown: The vouchers that come with the member card are not tempting even, mostly $1/$2 off certain brand products, I would rather wait for the storewide 20% sales at John Little.
