Amour Chaleur

I have been thinking of making, creating or drawing something for Chewy for his belated Valentine’s Day gift. I know I’m extremely late in preparing a gift for the occasion but time has been running away from me recently. Chewy has started to enjoy reading so I thought it’ll be useful to give him a book. Honestly speaking, the original cover of the book looks pretty elegant and tasteful but being a DIY-loving person, I decided to personalise the entire book cover for him.

It didn’t took me long to “transform” the cover since it’s a simple design. I bought a set of scrapbooking materials and picked out a few items to be used for the cover. The entire process is basically just gluing and sticking the decorations and letters so it took me about 30 minutes to do that! The flowers look kind of girlish, hopefully he wouldn’t mind. This is how the new cover looks like. What do you think? :)

Yesterday was our farewell gathering for Huaian before he flies back to Australia this weekend. It’s been a year since our previous farewell for him when he went Australia to further his studies last year. I had to confess I totally forgot to tell Huaian about our meet-up till the morning before we were suppose to meet. I told him our gathering would be on the 3rd but didn’t update him regarding the time again. He thought I was busy with my exams (which I was) and the gathering was rescheduled. I gave him a call immediately and luckily he managed to find some time to meet up with us. I couldn’t imagine what would have happened if I didn’t remember not telling him. All of us will be waiting at Vivo City and he’s not going to appear. I’m pretty sure most of my friends will kill me for it!

We planned to head to the Sentosa island to take our first look at Resort World. All of us haven’t been there and we thought it will be a good idea to tour Huaian around the new sections of Sentosa before he leaves. The place was unusually quiet and empty. I would have expected it to be bursting with activities and music. It wasn’t what I had expected but perhaps with the opening of the Universal Studio, it will be a livelier place. We discovered the Hershey’s chocolate shop beside the entrance to Universal Studios. I love this shop because they sell a huge range of Hershey’s chocolates1, they even have peanut butter chocolates! :)

  1. I am not a huge fan of chocolates but I’ve to admit, Hershey’s chocolates are good! [«]

I know this post title is very unoriginal but all the Audit stuff in my brain is killing my creative cells so you will just have to make do with it. I have actually lost a bit of motivation after reading Terry’s detailed post about our meet-up with Brenda last Saturday but since I’ve decided to blog more this year, I wrote a post about it. I take no credit for all the gorgeous photos of the food. I took the photos from Terry because mine turned out to be quite horrible. Perhaps I was too eager to start on the food and didn’t have the patience to take good photographs of them.

I didn’t tried the steak like the previous time because I didn’t want an overly cooked steak and to avoid chalking up the bill. We had the usual dose of mushrooms and Terry has carrots as well. Coincidentally, both Brenda and I aren’t a fan of vegetables.

I tried the Seabass fillet and I had to say they aren’t really up to my expectation. Even the brownies aren’t as great as the last time. It has almonds in it which taste weird when I’m having it with vanilla ice cream. Almonds and ice cream just doesn’t seem to go well together.
